Enterprise Account Executive

Bigstream has developed technology to accelerate data platforms such as Apache Spark without requiring any code changes. Either in a software mode or by taking advantage of advanced programmable hardware, such as FPGAs or SmartSSDs, Bigstream Hyperacceleration can generate up to 10x performance increases. Our solution is easy for customers to trial and implement, resulting in compact selling cycles.

Bigstream is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Enterprise Account Executive with a proven track record of driving and closing enterprise deals. This strategic position will be Bigstream’s initial dedicated salesperson and comes with significant opportunities for growth and leadership. 

Candidates must have experience selling into cloud environments and a strong understanding of big data infrastructures. Ideal candidates have experience selling use cases such as ETL, Risk Management, Fraud Detection, and Machine Learning.

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will be a well-networked sales professional with consultative sales skills and the ability to articulate a strong business case and ROI for Bigstream’s products. 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and consultative selling to communicate the value proposition of Bigstream’s products
  • Drive and manage the sales process with companies looking to improve performance and/or reduce cost with Bigstream’s technology
  • Build consensus and develop relationships at multiple levels – executives, influencers and decision makers
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive business proposals to address customer and prospect priorities and critical needs
  • Ensure a successful and high-quality customer experience through effective account planning and executive engagements
  • Approximately 30% of the work time could be spent in traveling

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, strongly preferred from a top university
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and a passion for articulating the value of technology
  • Experience in selling to financial services or retail industries strongly preferred
  • Strong track record and successful background in complex, executive-level sales processes, including a minimum of 3+ years of experience selling solutions in the  big data ecosystem
  • A reputation within the enterprise big data space for being outstanding with sales demos, value selling, and competitive positioning
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and demonstration skills
  • Strong time management and decision-making skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup sales environment
